Product Description

The very back of the body and caudal fin are black. A brilliant sapphire-blue stripe outlines the caudal fin.

Red Stripe Angelfish requires a 70 gallon or larger aquarium with large amounts of live rock for hiding and grazing. With a tendency to be docile, the Red Stripe Angelfish can become more assertive once established. It may occasionally nip at sessile invertebrates and clam mantles.

It is extremely difficult to breed in an aquarium, and there are no distinguishing characteristics that help differentiate males from females.

The diet of the Red Stripe Angelfish should include Spirulina, marine algae, mysis or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items.
